Jersey Perimeter Penn's Grove and Gibbstown (Between 15 and 20 miles)

Join us for this next leg of hiking the entire perimeter of NJ! This time we will be connecting  to Penn's Grove NJ with Gibbstown!

DOD Ponds WMA Old Bulkhead

Meet at 8:30 am at the Incollingo's Penn's Grove Market at 1 N Virginia Ave, Penns Grove, NJ 08069, 9 am!

Our last hike in this series went far better than expected, and based on the experience we had with that particular hike, I have looked at the route of this one again, now realizing that we will potentially be off of roads for a far longer time than previously anticipated.
Although the hike had initially been scaled off at about fifteen miles, there is potential for it to go possibly as long as 20 depending on the different corners we can make. It it runs over, we can always cut a corner and add more of what we're missing from this hike onto another one.  Regardless, everyone should be prepared for distance.
I may arrange to spot one car at another point just in case we find a lot of extra mileage we did not previously anticipate.

In addition, we will also plan on going for the Cedarville Winery's Wine Tasting! Like others we've visited, they have many award winning wines, so this should be a great stop as well. We'll plan on getting there somewhat early and count that as our lunch break as well.

This hike should be mostly easy terrain, but everyone should be prepared for the unexpected nature of hikes that involve doing the perimeter of the state. There may be sections of bushwhacking or off trail along the waterfront.

Although this hike is considered "suburban" in nature, it doesn't look like we'll be passing any stores along the way, not even near the winery. Everyone should be prepared with a lunch or snack, and plenty of water.

I thought it went great. We extended the hike further when we found further locations to reach, ended up doing just over 25 miles! The only part that was bad was the last fifth of the hike was road walking.

May need a new battery. Not a good day or trip for car trouble.

Looking like we won't get precipitation till after 3 pm tomorrow if we get it, so this should be good!

Everyone, only 30% chance of precipitation where this hike will be, and that won't be until later. Should be quite perfect for it!
Should be between 10 and 15 participants total.
