Join us for an interesting hike around Brigantine and Atlantic City, connecting it with the previous hikes we will have done, part of the Perimeter of NJ series!
Originally planned as a Brigantine loop, the route has changed due to nesting shore birds, and the original planned route will instead be held in August.
From Brigantine, we will follow along the waterfront to the north side, then head west to Atlantic City's waterfront.
The route will take us along scenic bayside paved walkways and such, and we'll likely visit different business establishments.
We'll continue to head south toward Trump Plaza by way of back streets once we get to the west side of the island, and pick up the beach heading east. We'll follow the beach from here to the east side of the island, where we'll head north.
We'll stop to swim while on the beach section, then head along the boardwalk to the north to reach the Harrah's Resort where we will have crossed the bridge.
How the hike plays out may be subject to change; it is a point to point trip, but if we do car shuttling it will be very short distance, only between Brigantine and Harrah's. More details about this hike will be added as the time nears.
