Prehistoric Chicago

Please join the Northwest Chicago Historical Society for a PowerPoint presentation on Prehistoric Chicago. Hear local archaeologist Dan Melone share some of the research he has conducted locally. He will show unearthed artifacts, take us through what a local archeology dig is like and tell us a bit about what our area was like hundreds of years ago. Dan Melone, who grew up on the Northwest side, dates the prehistoric Native American influence here possibly as far back as 6,000 years.

Learn about how people lived in our area thousands of years ago!

This is a FREE event with a cash bar.

Really interesting presentation and a good location. It was disappointing to find 3 seats held with a coat for a large part of the beginning of the presentation when there were several people standing in the back, struggling to hear, though.

This was a very interesting presentation! Galvin's was a wonderful place to host -- they were VERY helpful and accommodating. Unbelievable value for a FREE event.

Your successful recruiting unfortunately made the room too small. Too hot. Those in the back of the room could not hear the speaker. I think those who brought some knowledge to the meeting, probably enjoyed the speaker.

This Meetup was listed for 26 people, some people decided to come without signing up. We should have charge for the event and we would have had lots of room.
