Historic Talk with Commemorative Marker Dedication

The Northwest Chicago Historical Society along with the Jefferson Memorial Park Advisory Council and Chicago Park District will be dedicating a historic marker for the Esdohr House. Following the dedication, Katherine Esdohr (played by actress Betsey Means) will talk about living in the house and the Jefferson Park neighborhood in the late 1800’s.  The talk will take place on the back porch of the Esdohr House, so bring lawn chairs or blankets for this free event.

Nice morning in the park. Presentation could have centered more on the home itself.

All the history that we know about the house is displayed on the historic marker that was dedicated before the presentation.

It was a toss-up for me - support the Esdohr House project OR support my daughter at the Epilepsy Foundation Run on the lake. Chose the latter. J. Taylor

The Chicago Park District is painting the outside of the Esdohr house. Come see the new color scheme on Saturday.
