For the safety of the group we do require that a real picture of you be submitted even if its not your main picture. We are mostly a womens group and a lot of things are hosted in our private homes so we need to know who to expect and who to call the cops on.

I love crafts but its hard to meet other people in the same age group that are into crafts as well. Don't get me wrong I love grandmas but I don't want to spend my Friday nights with them. I have dabbled in a little bit of everything, you should see my craft closet/room in my trek to becoming the best Martha Stewart (Wannabe) I can be. And it's not as fun to do it by yourself. So why not be social?

The purpose of this group is to meet other women who enjoy crafts to meet socially and do group planned activities that can be taught by the members, (i.e. if you are a great crocheter you can teach how to make a scarf and the following meet up would be a different topic by a different member) or just have open free for all craft night where everybody brings their own projects and we sip some wine and eat some food.

I am also a do-gooder so from time to time I would like to host activities to help the needy. Knitting for cancer patients or card making for soldiers to send home for their loved ones, there is always someone in need that could use our crafty help.

Lastly for 2011 we have added a book club component since as a general we all love books!
