What is this class?
New Earth Drumming is a distinct kind of non-religious musical event. Based on a blend of ancient drumming and chanting, it has the quality of quieting the mind with the proper intention. Every drummer has a unique experience. Everyone plays hand drums and percussion. Participants line up in a drum circle and follow the Sonero (leader) in rhythm and song improvisation. Usually one session lasts approximately 1-2 hours full of universal beats and soulful expressions. Members play with each other and experience a profound connection with the group and inner self. The person becomes relaxed and reinvigorated after each session. Since there are no words in the sound vibration the encounter can be transformative and enriching.
Why should I take this class?
