Photo Retreat!!

This is going to be a weekend-long photo event with several planned shoots, educational opportunities, and camping for those who want to stay the night! If anyone is interested in being part of the planning or has something they would like to teach over the weekend, please let me know. We do have the option of reserving several different indoor spaces, and the bathrooms all have showers and outlets, so hair and makeup over the weekend won't be a problem. The camp spaces are $30 for the whole weekend, and we are allowed three vehicles and ten people per campsite. This is incredibly cheap! There are fire pits, and we'll coordinate meals as part of the planning process if you guys want, or people can bring their own meals. Right now, just looking to get a 'show of hands' for those interested. More details to come later!

OK I have been to Kahua Nui camp site, put an easy-up on campsite #18 and left a lantern, cushions, and space blankets there. The campers nearby were friendly and helpful. When I checked in at the office I got a parking pass for Nikolai so you can get parking passes on site. They told me the park closes at 4pm. It opens for campers to come it from 5:30 to 6:30pm and opens again for 15 minutes at 9:00pm to let any campers out who want to leave. Sad note. I won't be there tonight because our dog isn't well and we are taking care of him. Have a great time!

How many campsites have been reserved by the group? As in, can't each camper only have a specific number of vehicles? I'm only aware of Kenji and Ron having made reservations.

As for car parking space I have a large truck I can fit 6 people comfortably with seat belts in the cab of the truck and the back is covered so I can put 6 more people in there if we find a place to park everyones vehicles so that we have room to park.

Anyone interested in meeting to hash out some details for this event, please come to a planning meeting Wednesday, Aug 20 at the Starbucks on Ward by Wahoo's at 8 pm. Also, if you can't attend the meeting but have ideas you want to suggest, please feel free to email me directly!

By the way, you don't have to camp to attend this meetup! If you are going to attend, but not camp, you must leave by sundown. So, if you are not camping it can be a day long shoot, short shoot, whatever. Also, I'm hoping to share some photo tips, giving and receiving.
