Lighting Meetup

Jeff helped me with the lighting and pose. Turned the photo monochrome and cropped to 8x10 ratio because I thought it enhanced Allison's dramatic pose.

Nice job Sharon! Since this was a lighting shoot, I will mention the reflection in the bracelet. It kind of gives away your tricks (the horizontal line is the reflector). This is definitely difficult to eliminate in the camera - it would probably require removal in photoshop, or else your model would need to remove the bracelet. I'm not at all saying this reflection is a bad thing (it does add some interesting detail to an otherwise boring bracelet), but it's just something I noticed. It is up to you as a photographer to decide whether it is something you do or do not want in your photo. Definitely looking forward to shooting with you again!

Good eye Allison. Since it was lighting workshop I didn't do a whole lot of post except to turn the photo monochrome. I could blur the reflection so the image of the umbrella wouldn't be obvious. On the other hand I'm not exactly trying to disguise the fact I'm using off camera lighting. Something to think about.
