Charlotte Twitter Experts - How (and why) they do it!

This location is shown only to members

Charlotte Twitter Experts
- Live and In Person!

.
NOTE: WE WILL BE STREAMING LIVE AT 7:00 PM - Click here.

This month, we're getting four of the most popular Twitter users in Charlotte together in the same room to ask them some of the hard questions about Twitter.

These four panelists have a combined total of...
13,500 Followers and 14,160 updates!
(As of 2 PM on Monday, Jan 5, 2009 that is.)

.

Let's face it, most Twitter users are just wasting time - LOTS of time!!

We're going deeper with these four experts.
We're asking how to use Twitter efficiently and effectively.

.

Some of the questions will include...

1. For all the time you spend on it, what benefit do you get from Twitter?

2. How could a small business use Twitter efficiently to gain or keep customers?

3. What tools help you use Twitter efficiently?

4. What is your one favorite tip to making Twitter work for you?

We can then open it up to Q&A.

.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a beginner's meetup. This meetup will assume that you already have an account and want to use it efficiently. If this is not you, please click on the files button to the left and read the free e-book posted there about Twitter before attending.

PLEASE ALSO NOTE: We are expecting a large turnout for this meetup. If you think you may not make it, please change your status.

Also, if you'd like to just watch the whole thing online, you can on Ustream via this link.

.

The Experts Include...

Roy Morejon (@RoyMorejon), Lisa Hoffman @LisaHoffmann, Jason Keath (@jakrose), and Lyell E Petersen (@93Octane).

And the moderator will be Corey Creed (@Charlotte_SEO).

I would really love to attend this one! I use Twitter a lot but I am SURE I could be more effective with it. Unfortunately I'll have to watch the feed instead. Getting ready to drive to CT first thing Friday morning - hope we don't get storm-stranded, argh!

It was really great just could have used a larger venue

Good use of time. Kept on topic.

I am not skilled at Twitter, so everything was new and helpful. I came away with some business applications I am eager to try.
  • Mary Kate Cline
enjoyed hearing perspective of experienced Twitter users, as it relates to how this would be useful from business perspective; particularly specific tips and practical observations
  • Lyell E. Petersen | 93octane
I was one of the panelists, and was excited to be asked to participate. I hope we were able to share good ideas and information about Twitter, and that attendees felt that they left smarter than they were when they arrived. Thank you very much for inviting me to be a part of it.
  • Don Monteith
Very interesting and thanks to the panel for sharing their experience on Twitter.

I learned lots! When I saw that 70 were going to attend and the size of the room, and the length I travel, I watched online. What I didn't appreciate was the garbage talk on the side of the video mostly by one guy Ben 'something" that spoke of gays, see more cleavage on the purple dress and taco#. It made those asking real questions or wanting info on what was just said get lost in all the garbage writing. I was able to see how the panel uses twitter for business and reality about time it takes to get established. Appreciated that. The search for key words in topics that interest you and then following some was helpful. How you can learn so much from others and build relationships that continue in person.

Good session. Time for a bigger space.

Great meeting. I would like to see the use of Webcast with Ustreamtv. This will allow online examples or examples from a pc to be cast / streamed while these are shown to the on-site participants. I look forward to future meetings. Online sound was good.

Fantastic meetup! The panel was great. I thought I knew a little bit of something about twitter. I was WRONG!

The best one yet! Lots of useful information! Kudos to the panel.
  • Matt Cheney
The panel was super informative, and the house was literally standing room only.
  • Cara Couture
Excellent info! The panel worked well together & facilitation was great. I also was surprised it was only an hour but given that so many people were sitting on the floor or standing, I was actually happy it ended when it did and we were given an opportunity to network and socialize. Given the space constraints and the fact that the meeting was streaming live (how cool is that??), the number of attendees could have been capped without members being shut out. But otherwise, it was a great Meetup and I was impressed with the the organizers and Twitter panel. http://twit...

We need to find a meeting place that can seat everyone comfortably. There were many people (including me) that ended up in a pretzel position on the floor.

I thought it was real good. Knowledgeable "experts". Should look at a larger space.
  • Louie Torrence
I thought this was a great forum for discussing this subject, in fact I wish it had been a little longer. Prior to the meeting I did not have a Twitter account, but I will definitely create one now.
  • Brian
Good content. Could have been a longer session.
  • Dean Vong
it was a good meeting but the meeting place was too small to accommodate all the attendees.
