Once upon a time I had a group of friends who had Wednesday night dinners together. Each night we'd have a theme and cook for each other, and those nights live in my memories as some of the best times ever. I'd like to recreate that in Olympia and make some new friends.

This is a group for food-lovers and those who love to cook and share their food. We have dinners about once a month, with occasional other get-togethers. It is a group for adults only, but there are no other restrictions - all are welcome.

How it works: each month we pick a country for our dinner theme. Everyone makes something from that country, and everyone brings something - whether it be an appetizer, salad, soup, veggies, main dish, or dessert. In the Discussion section there is a place for people to sign up for a dish to bring, which is encouraged, but not required.

Because some of our dinners are getting quite large, we do ask that you keep your RSVP current, and cancel immediately if you discover you can't come. Finding homes large enough, getting all the tables and dishes ready, and knowing how much to cook are all dependent on knowing how many people are really coming. No-shows will be grounds for removal from the group, and those who sign up but never come are also periodically removed, so we have a better sense for how many active members we have.

So far, we have had dinners from Macau, Thailand, India, Spain, America, Morocco, Russia, Dominican Republic, and Italy... find out where we're going next!
