The Open Computing Initiative (TOCI) will be an organisation which has been founded with the purpose of colaboratively producing technologies and software which will better serve Humanity and the Planet.

Mission Statement

The Purpose of The Open Computing Initiative is to Create a Platform which will Assist the Self Driven Evolution of Humanity and Integration with Nature Through Greater Vision and Understanding.

Values

  1. Open – Owned by All, for the Greater Benefit of All
  2. Vision – To Enable Better Visibility and Deeper Insight
  3. Understanding – To Increase the Breadth and Depth of Humanity's Understanding
  4. Accountability – To Promote Accountability through Openness, Vision and Understanding
  5. Evolution – To Aid the Progress and evolution of Humanity in a Positive Direction
  6. Synergy – To Facilitate Synergy Between Humanity and the Planet

In order for us to evolve as a species, mankind needs to first stop damaging the planet, begin to repair it and ultimately nurture it. For this to happen there needs to be a fundamental shift in the way that our global community thinks and operates. With our current Social, Commercial, Financial and Political models this is going to be a very challenging process. In order for us to make the shift, we first need to gain full vision and understanding of the many interlinking systems which form our planet and society.
If we are to gain this insight, we need the ability to do so. Providing and facilitating this ability is the ultimate goal and purpose of The Open Computing Initiative. The technology requirements behind such a huge and complex task are far beyond our current capabilities. For this reason there is a real need for what TOCI represents.
