What was Buddha talking about? And what is Eckhart Tolle currently saying?

The past and the current teachers (Buddha, Eckart) say: there is only now. What is happening now. To be aware. Set your awareness to the presence. What is happening at the moment. What you are feeling.

We explore what they are saying. But we even go deeper than that. Because there is what is written in books. And there is what is really happening in our own lives.

We talk about what is happening in our own lives and talk about how that has to do with awareness. So we go much deeper that what is written in books.

We start by talking about the struggles we face day to day. Or one particular struggle that we or one of us is facing at the moment or recently has faced. We get deep into it. Deep into the feeling. And we bring that back around to awareness.

This sets the ground for an incredibly stimulating conversation. The result is: When we go deep, the conversation and the space is at a really good level. And some actually shift and have breakthroughs. Seeing things in a way they've never seen before. The format is as follows:

If you have something pressing that has happened in your life that week, bring it in. We will discuss

OR

If you have something burning inside that you want to let out, bring it in. We will discuss.

OR

If you have something intriguing that you have just read (that relates to these topics), bring it in, we will discuss.

Then:

What we thought was true yesterday, we now know many of those truths are false. And what we think we know today, most of those truths will be false tomorrow.

So then as the sharing occurs, others then either:

Ask questions, so we can go even deeper.

OR

Others can relate by specifying a story of their own.

Because we know that most of the truths today will not be the truths tomorrow, advice giving is kept limited if any at all.

To summarize, anything pressing that is happening in your life, bring it in, we will discuss. Or if something you've read or heard is intriguing, bring it in. We will discuss. We will go deep into it. And bring it back to awareness. Everyone else holds space for the person and can share something that is happening in their own lives, or can go deeper in the current topic by asking questions. I know that everyone wants to help and give advice. Advice (most of the time) is a temporary truth. So instead of advice giving, we focus on one of the ultimate truths: Our feeling and what is happening in relation to our feelings. And awareness. Who are you? Want to know? One gate way to knowing is: What you are feeling now?

The past and the current teachers (Buddha, Eckart) say: there is only now. What is happening now. To be aware. Set your awareness to the presence. What is happening at the moment. What you are feeling.

All members by attending agree to keep everything that is said in the group confidential.

And after the group is over, the person that deeply shared is given space and allowed to rest about his/her own topic.
