FYI: Healin' With a Feelin' Concert/Dance to Benefit NC Jaycee Burn Center

Silent auction beginning at 6:30pm, with music to follow (4 different bands), beginning at 7:20pm.  Sounds like a fabulous event!  I've seen the BilliTones, as well as Rebecca & the Hi-Tones: They are both a whole lot of fun.  Cost is $15 suggested donation.  --Michael P., Meetup organizer

The Willie Painter Band, The South Wing Band, Rebecca & the Hi-Tones, and The BilliTones will all be performing.

Here's some of the inside scoop from a friend of mine who's in one of the bands:

Silent auction includes more than 150 donations from local services and stores: Massage sessions, Reiki sessions, acupuncture sessions, BodyTalk sessions, restaurant vouchers, artwork from Tibetan Monks, jewelry, organic wool pillows, and more, lots more!

Bob Burtman will be the announcer: No one has a better voice for this job!

The concert is being put on as a "thank you" to the Burn Center by a former patient, Kim Anderson, and his family. After a house fire, Kim was left with third degree burns over 50 percent of his body. He spent four and a half months in the Burn Center.

Please join Kim and his family by coming over to Carrboro for a night of music, dancing, great fun, and lots of love.  If you can't make it to the event, please consider making a donation to help the Anderson family start a fund to provide sun-protection hats and garments to kids and adults who are burn survivors like Kim.

Sorry. I was a no-show, enjoying the ambiance of the Rex Hospital Emergency Room. I am fine now, but it was a difficult week.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
