I felt like trying a new restaurant. Has anyone eaten at the Kitchen yet? Someone in Pittsboro recommended it to me. Its located next to or near fosters in Chapel Hill. If you haven't tried this French based restaurant plan on joining me for dinner in the Kitchen Saturday Night. They say the heart of any restaurant is its kitchen, so it is appropriate that Dick and Sue Barrows? restaurant in Chapel Hill is called ?Kitchen.?
The name is meant to evoke images of family dining with simply prepared, delicious food made from fresh, mostly local, ingredients.
Dick and Sue Barrows have spent their lives in the restaurant business. While they have been involved in several different ventures, they have always kept to their philosophy of superior ingredients, simple preparations and friendly, efficient service. Kitchen is a bistro-style restaurant with a small seasonally-changing menu.
Mussels and the freshest French fries are always available, with the rest of the value-oriented menu depending upon the local bounty.
While the customer can certainly enjoy a special meal at Kitchen, the prices are deliberately moderate to enable people to return often and become ?regulars.? Kitchen does not have a voluminous list of wines and beers. Instead, customers have the opportunity to select beverages carefully chosen for their value and their ability to complement the food.
They look forward to serving us.
