I resumed photography after a long interruption in 2005. I have been on quite a few courses, workshops and masterclasses to speed up my learning and acquire much needed skills and insight. Finally, I have been able to exhibit on two juried art fairs this year.
To me learning is a never ending trip. The more I learn the thirstier i become for more learning. Besides the classroom and workshops, learning can be derived from mixing with like-minded people and discussing and exposing new concepts, ideas and experiences. It is my hope that I can share my experiences as I partake in other members'.
I started out with exclusive focus on Nature. Now I find myself open to trying any form of photography including abstract, documentary, journalistic-style, still, etc. I have limited experience working with models that I am beginning to find both interesting and challenging - and needless to say, rewarding.
My name is Salim. I am a serious enthusiast of all photography art forms. My first camera was a Soviet made Zenith which I bought in 1976. Today I am all digital. I own a Nikon D700 DSLR and an Epson 7900 printer and can't imagine a day without them.
Excellent venue to meet other photographers, artists, models. I cherish the experience that I have been enjoying so far.
