This is our regular weekly meeting.  Feel free to bring a piece of writing to share with the group to get critical feedback to help improve your writing.  If you wish, you can participate and offer feedback to others without bringing in anything of your own.  Doors open at 5:00 pm and the meeting officially commences at 5:30 pm.

These are really talented and creative writers. I thoroughly enjoyed tonight's selections. I also have to say that I appreciate the way constructive criticism is given. Some groups take the position that you have to have a "thick skin" so they just lay into you - as if their opinion were the end all and be all. Thanks everyone.

I agree Tracey. I think what makes our group unique is that we try to help each other. It's a great environment for anyone to come out and be themselves.

Me too. Some things are tough to hear, but that's mostly me... someone talking about "my baby." But I've never felt like someone was discouraging and have always left our meetings wanting to do better. Sometimes I have passionately disagreed with the comment, but then given time to consider it, have rewritten and found a better way to say it.

I have a friend preparing to do a 9 month tour at Guantanamo Bay so going to hang with him tonight. I'm sure I will have PHWG withdraws this next week so expect a shaky slobbery Tony at our next meeting! :) Have a great time tonight!

Looking forward to hearing the pieces that couldn't be covered last time. Really varied and interesting writers.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
