Introduction
I have really enjoyed the past 20 years in the Bay Area. I've taken quite a few courses at Stanford Continuing Studies, mostly science courses, but recently have begun taking some writing courses as well.
Why do you want to join this group?
I read a lot, the location is walking distance, and the upcoming reading list looks interesting.
What is your favorite book?
I read mostly speculative and science fiction. My all-time favorite is Isaac Asimov's Foundation series, second is Octavia Butler's unfortunately unfinished Parables series, and then some of the other "classics". I'm especially interested in dystopian and apocalyptic as a subgenre.
What are you currently reading?
Autobiographies and memoirs.
