Tubing at Wilmont Mountain, Wisconsin

Wilmot mountain ski resort www.wilmotmountain.com is in southern Wisconsin, it has 30 snow tube runs.  Price is $25.00 for two hours, $30.00 for three hours, or $35.00 for four hours. I figure we can decide as group how long we want to do this for. Carpools will be set up based on RSVP's. Due to the travel time this will be an all day event. We will stop for lunch before getting to the resort and stop for dinner after the tubing.

Weather seems a problem there - just checked - Rain overnight - then freezing temps - then hovering around freezing and windy from west and cloudy - what does everyone think...correct me if I'm wrong!

Not sure what you are looking at. I checked Accuweather and some other site for twin lakes, wi. Both say about 34 degrees. One says possible snow another says possible am rain. Lets wait and see in the morning.

That sounds good Chris. Still meet at Schnucks - or plan a different strategy?

After hunting and suggestions from Trish I think it would be a good idea for everyone to meet for lunch before heading on to the tubing facility. I called and checked today and their tubing rates start at the top of every hour. We can purchase tickets at the facility. I am going to suggest meeting at Nicks Pizza and Pub in Crystal Lake, 856 Pyott Rd. They are open starting at 11 am on Saturday. They have alot of Gluten free options for Becky, a more plain menu for my Bob and hopefully an interesting and colorful enough menu for Trish! Plus not too pricey and good reviews. It is then about 45 minutes to tubing from there. According to Google Maps it takes 2 hours and 23 minutes to get there from El Paso so that will put us at just about exactly noon for lunch (if we leave El Paso at 9:30 - give or take a few minutes). Dinner could be Twin Oaks Country Inn at[masked]th St. in Wilmont - looks cool and has Gluten Free - but they don't open til - I think they said 4 or 4:30 pm.

Thank you for considering my dietary needs however, I am now eating strictly Paleo. In most cases, restaurants do not allow me to bring in food of my own so I am skipping eating out. Plus, it's more budget friendly and Jan is a belt tightening month for me. I'm sure we'll be able to gather at the tubing facility through texts. Again, thank you for taking my dietary needs into consideration.

Hi Diane, Bob lives at 427 clearview. Take hwy 24 over the overpass and turn left at 251 (Fayette) Its the 4 way stop. Then Clearview is slightly past town on your right. We are the 3rd house on the Left. I know the Blm carpool leaves from Schnucks at 9 and I was thinking they could meet up with us in el paso (one has to go 39 anyway) then we could sort of convoy from there. That way we can stop for lunch together and such.

Diane and Becky sounds like it makes more sense for me to join you since there is 4 in the car from Bloomington. Will you let me know what you decide? We will still be meeting up with the group for lunch before right?
