Winter Backpacking at Siloam Springs

This is our first return to the park since 2010. This will be a one night winter trip with optional hiking in the evening, most likely to stay warm. The backpacking trail is a 4 mile round trip trail, so its not a strenuous trip. If you have questions on winter gear, feel free to send me a note. This is a beautiful park in the winter and should offer some us some very scenic hiking. We will be meeting at the East Peoria Wal-mart parking lot at 10:00 am to carpool if interested. There will be a small fee for camping paid to the state park.

Or video, as long as it doesn't include sound from the first phase of the carry. Gotta keep it PG/SFW, right? ;)

To Sherry and Kumar, you have not gone on any back country trips with us. Can you make sure we can talk this week so I can make sure you have the proper gear for this particular trip. i have a lot of extra stuff so I can supplement anything you don't have. I just want to make sure we are all going to be as comfortable as possible.

Sherry, I have some extra winter clothing. Plus, it's a great time of year to shop as the season is usually on sale. I'd be happy to meet up and shop abet a stop for coffee is a must, lol.

Hey Becky, I will. Had a blast up there earlier this month with perfect weather. This time will be practicing crevasse rescue & avalanche awareness ... and I'm sure the weather won't be nice

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
