Park It @ Market

To round out the year, the PGPG will meet on Sunday, December 19th, at 12pm at the Hard Rock Cafe in Philadelphia, for some street fashion photography. Starting out the HRC, we will have lunch as a group, and then take to the streets of Philadelphia with our various models to shoot the street scenes. Since the holidays are a busy season for most, we hope to see a bit of street fashion, holiday visuals, and human interest shots. The Hard Rock Café is a popular tourist destination, and a good place to initially meet for food and drinks. With the Liberty Bell, JFK Plaza, the Clothespin sculpture, and many other Philadelphia attractions within a few blocks walking distance, there will be many different sites to photograph. If you choose to park above the Hilton in the Expert Parking Lot, your parking fee is discounted by the Hard Rock Café management. Key points include: -attending models will be listed as they are booked.
-make up services will be provided by Meredith Boring, who will also be modeling.
-lunch and refreshments are at your own discretion at the HRC, although we will have the usual bottled water and snacks available when we start to walk.
-inclement weather is the only deterrent, and updates will be provided accordingly.
-the Hard Rock Café allows photos to be taken inside, but it is advised to avoid any OVERTLY staged shots, as that may interfere with the regular patrons.
-please dress accordingly, as it may be cold that day.
-this listing will be updated as needed. We thank you all for helping to make this an exceptional year in photography. The photo albums for this calendar year have been extraordinary, and the quality of the group is what makes it the top rated Meet Up in the Philadelphia area. We look forward to an enjoyable day on the 19th, and certainly towards many interesting shoots in 2011. In summary: Who: the PGPG, of course!

This was a great experience I enjoyed meeting the other photographers and the models were very nice. It was a great opportunity to create pictures and learn from photographers with more experience than I.

It was cold and windy in Philly, but the models braved the elements and did a great job !

It was a smaller gathering, but still an enjoyable experience. We had a few new faces at this one, along with some familiar ones. The Hard Rock Cafe was not the best of venues (visually a great place, but the service was poor and not accommodating to a larger group), but it was the people at our table that made it a great day. Yes it was cold outside, but the gist of this one was to just have something small and easy to end the year. It was good to see everyone, and I hope that each person took away an enjoyable and unique experience.
