June Meeting of The Philadelphia Science Fiction Society

The June PSFS Meeting will take place on Friday, June 14 at International House, 3701 Chestnut St., PHiladelphia, PA. The meeting will open at 7:30 pm. The business meeting begins at 8:00 pm, and the program starts at 9:00 pm. There will be refreshments (we ask for a donation) and books for sale, so come a bit early if you want to browse.

Our guest speaker will be Michael Cisco. Michael Cisco is an American writer, teacher, and translator currently living in New York City. He is best known for his first novel, The Divinity Student, winner of the International Horror Guild Award for Best First Novel of 1999. His novel, The Great Lover, was nominated for the 2011 Shirley Jackson Award for Best Novel of the Year, and declared the Best Weird Novel of 2011 by the Weird Fiction Review. He has described his work as "de-genred" fiction.

After the meeting, members are invited to come with our guest to Abner's Cheeststeaks at 3813 Chestnut St. to continue the conversation.

Meetings of the PSFS asre free and open to all, but we ask that if you like us and decide to attend regularly, you become a dues-paying member to help us pay for our meeting space, guests, and special events. Dues are very reasonable!
