The Chemical Heritage Foundation presents their first First Friday event of the year. Head farmer at Philadelphia’s Greensgrow Farms will give a talk just in time for Spring.

Event Description>>

Are cities still “concrete jungles”? This concept is being reconsidered in 21st-century America.

Community gardens and urban farms have played a critical role in the sustainability movement, bolstering “foodie” culture and anchoring local food hubs.

Join Mary Seton Corboy, head farmer at Philadelphia’s Greensgrow Farms, to explore how this nationally recognized urban farm helps fulfill William Penn’s vision of Philadelphia as a “greene countrie towne.”
