Hi guys - We just learned that work on the 1200 block of Panama Street will begin on June 25!  So, this will be a walking tour of Panama in progress and three other streets under contract by the city to be repaired and restored this summer:  200 block of Jessup and Warnock Streets and the 1200 block of Cypress Street. We really encourage everyone to come to the June 27th walk of Panama, Cypress, Warnock, and Jessup Streets and learn about the many issues relevant to our historic small streets.  There is no substitute for being on the spot, seeing with your own eyes, and talking to fellow "historic street residents".  If this group is to maximize its effectiveness, we need vigorous participation.Hope to see you there!

The tour went well. The discussion amonst the PSSS members was helpful in further defining the issues we will be addressing in a July meeting we have been granted with the Streets Department and Historical Commission.

Generally, residents are responsible for their curbs and sidewalks, including curbcuts. However, we understand that some sunken curbs on our street will be reset by the contractor as part of their contract with the city. If you would like work done on your sidewalk, you can speak with the contractor and contract that as an individual, or have your own contractor do it. On Monday, I'll ask the Streets Department about residents contacting the contractor for estimates before restoration begins.

Will the city be resetting the curbs and doing anything with the sidewalks? Also would we be able to ask for a new tree cut?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
