Hi all, We have two important developments. First, we are working with the Streets Department on a top level meeting to address the issues that we have raised. We have the invitees and agenda set, now we are working on a date. So, that's very good news. On another front, we are not so pleased. We thought we had an agreement at an April 2011 meeting with the Streets Department to not pour an 8 inch concrete base under Jessup Street and not to use mortar between the bricks, substituting in its place 12 inches of a modified aggregate (3/4 stone with screening mixed in) and screening between the bricks. It appears that we were mistaken. So, the four streets due to be repaired this year (200 block of Jessup and Warnock Streets, and the 1200 block of Cypress and Panama) will get a 8 inch concrete base and non-bindingmortar between the bricks and stone. We have not given up on this issue and continue to collect research to support our point of view. However, we could not in all good conscience hold up the repairs any longer. We will call several meetups to observe the work being done on these streets. It should begin in a few weeks. See you then.
