That was one yummy carrot cake!

The best thing about that yummy carrot cake is that it could be made in a blender. It required only the blender and nothing else, no hand stirring and mixing, just blending. And, it gets better as the days go by. Very easy to make and you can do a lot of variations. Just google raw carrot cake for more ideas.

I heard from Sharon and Janet that this was fantastic! So sorry to have missed you all. Still in MD. Happy New Year to all who celebrate.

So sorry to bow out at this point. I am out of state, and would probably make it back too late on Sunday night to get there on time. Therefore, I want to open my space for someone on the waiting list. Very sorry to miss this. Apologies. Have fun!

Wonderful, as always: warm, friendly guests and wonderful hosts. And I love coming away from each gathering with at least one new recipe that's a real keeper. Kudos to Sara and Stanley for hosting this series of great gatherings!

Hi Sara, I woke up this morning with a horrible cold and really sore throat. I know that you filled up and people were turned away, and I was REALLY looking forward to meeting everyone, and I feel even worse seeing that I'm the 3rd person to cancel. But if someone else were to come to a potluck and sit next to me as sick as I am now I'd be really annoyed (particularly if I was expected to eat food that they cooked). I don't want to ruin the event by giving everyone whatever I have. So I'm going to have to cancel. And I hope that this won't prevent me from signing up in the future!

I am so sorry I have to cancel last minute. Sara, I know you needed more advance notice but I had a last minute interview come up that I need Sunday to prepare for. It's very important and exciting. I was really looking forward to it but will have to wait until another date. I hope someone on the waiting list enjoys their time with everyone. Thank you!

CAN'T WAIT TO BE WITH BEAUTIFUL FOLKS.

    2 · September 23

  • Sara P.

Stan, Bradley, Reese, and I can't wait until Sunday night to continue our monthly potlucks. To be fair to the people who can't seem to get in to these coveted events, please change your RSVP unless you definitely are coming. It won't help anyone if you wait until the last minute to do so. People need to plan what to bring - you know!

Sara, have you discovered the name of the sauce you used on those yummy roasted veggies Saturday evening?

Sara, thanks for the info on the sauce for the roasted veggies. I found it at Giant, have made the veggies, and they were yummy - like yours.

Do you want anything particular? More desserts or salads, hot things, cold? Looking forward to meeting everyone!

Unless we have a theme, bring whatever you like. There is always a nice variety.

I would Iike to bring my vegan toddler but she won't eat much so I didn't want to list her as a "plus one". Would love to have my little one meet other vegan kids if anyone else was thinking of bringing kids.

We hold the limit to 20 people because we have 20 chairs and it gets loud and crowded. We also have two large dogs and hot food reachable to an unattrnded toddler. You may want to come by yourself the first time so you can decide if it is a good idea to bring her. Our kids are in their mid 20s so nothing here is childproof.

Please do not sign up unless you are really intending to go. People signed up so fast that Stanley can't get in. I have avoided placing restrictions, like you can't come to more than one a quarter, and sanctioning people who constantly sign up and then find out they have somewhere else to go and cancel at the last minute. If you cancel even a few days beforehand, all you did was hold a spot that no one else will use. We really love doing these potlucks but want to make them fun for everyone. Thanks. PS. If you are really intending to come, please don't take this the wrong way!!! Stay on the list.

Thanks for your patience and largesse towards us. I know some of us, and I mean I mostly, can try a woman's and man's souls. Stanley's on the wait list? Hmm, we better rent another house on the block to accommodate the whole gang. ;)

Hi! I would like to attend the Potluck dinner Sept .28th. I seem to have a problem registering. Dave Block.

    August 3

    • Sara P.

You are listed as a guest!

      August 4

  • Sara P.

In the past, we were unable to accommodate everyone who wanted to attend, and occasionally people changed RSVPs a few hours or days before the potluck, which did not give anyone else a chance to take their seat at the table. We hope that you will refrain from signing up until you know you are really going to attend and that you won't "hold" a spot until a few days before dinner is served. This is a vegan potluck. We appreciate your respect of our choice to make our home vegan. If you have questions about whether your food is vegan, call us or someone else in this wonderful meetup.
