My daughter, 7, just expressed that she would like to meet some children who are vegetarian like her. She often feels like an outcast and like being a vegetarian is wrong and hard to do. Being surrounded by people who challenge our choice of diet is hard on our family. Meeting others who are also vegetarian would be so refreshing and uplifting. I would LOVE to find some vegetarian friends for my children, I just know it would benefit them incredibly. I would also like to become a part of this community and contribute to it in any way that I can.
Vegan Tree! Hibachi's also has a great vegetarian rice and grilled vegetable meal that I love.
Pho Street is a new Vietnamese restaraunt on Baltimore Pike. They have great vegetarian options.
If there are families with children in this group, I would strongly recommend play groups, lunch/picnic outings and support groups. As we all know, raising vegetarian children in a 90% meat-eating world is challenging. We need to provide our children with more support. I volunteer to coordinate or help out with events for this.
Hi! I literally love animals! I'm a vegetarian for a wide array of reasons, and so are my husband and children. I'm also an activist with "Animal Activists of Philadelphia."
