Dear Philosophers and thinkers,

if you remember or attended the presentation at our group titled: “Genius: Product of innate talent or deliberate practice?” by Allan Glazerman on Wednesday April 7th this year, you will be excited to know that SBS is passing a documentary related to the same topic that we presented at our meeting. Don’t miss it. It will be showing tomorrow Wednesday on SBS at 7:30pm. Details:

What makes a genius?
Could you have come up with Einstein's theory of relativity? If not - why not? This is what Marcus du Sautoy, professor of mathematics, wants to explore. Marcus readily admits that he is no genius, but wants to know if geniuses are just an extreme version of himself - or whether their brains are fundamentally different. In the program, Marcus meets some remarkable individuals, including Derek, who's blind, autistic, and a pianist with apparently prodigious gifts. He also talks to a scientist who's identified a gene for learning. (From the UK) (Documentary) G CC WS.

Also, I would like to inform about our first meeting of 2011 on Wednesday, January 5th, where we would like you to come and tell us what are the topics that you think most interest Australian society.
Recently in the news, it was mentioned that Australians are concerned about three topics The Crisis, The Environment and Mental Health in our country.

Please, come and have the privilege to issue your opinion, you all will be the presenters on this occasion and the moderator of the debate will be the listener. This will help us to prepare for future presentations those topics that make you tick.

Let’s open the year with the best possible democratic participation.
Merry Christmas to all of you in advance.
