Hey there Everyone - well - we've got sooooo much going on, it's darn hard to pick one thing to put on the title of this meeting. That being said - I'm going to try and give you all the details in the message. First things First - We have the 36 hour challenge coming up Nov 7 - Nov 9. This is going to be one of the most difficult challenges we've done so far and it will be the proving ground for the folks who want to do the 24 hour challenge. If you've seen any of our last few challenges, then you know there's a high standard to meet. Because of that - these teams will be smaller and made up of our top folks. One of the reasons I like these is they keep our skills sharp and they keep our creativity at the forefront of our minds. So if you're one of our pros and you've always wanted to try one of these challenges but worried about the ability to out a quality product - go see what we've done so far - then eat some wheaties, get some extra rest, put your muscles on and leave your ego at home and come out with us for 36 hours of insanity that's the most fun and most exciting thing you'll do in film making. Because if you can make a great 3 min film in 36 hours - you know then that you can do anything. If you think you have the right stuff - contact me ASAP! Next we have a very special guest Tamar Graham co-founder and Cheif Genius of the new online magaizine - www.truegeniusmagazine.com
True Genius Magazine is an online publication that focuses on the positive and creative things people are accomplishing in life. We provide our readers fun and inspiring topics from independent music, independent films, independent writers, independent fashion, to genius kids, products and companies -- and a few things in between. It's a world of good™ right at your fingertips. Tamara will be at the meeting to tell a bit about the True Genius on-line magazine. In addition, she'd like to talk to folks who are currently involved in projects and see what are local indie film making community is doing. So if you need a bit of publicity on your film or tv or webseries or whatever cool thing you're doing - this might just be your opportunity. We're also hoping that our own Diamond Dar maybe available to come and tell us about the new satellite station she and Dale Young are putting together. She's trying to rearrange some scheduling issues so we'll all keep our fingers crossed. Finally, I know it's hard to imagine but the end of the year is fast approaching - which means I have to make my feeble attempt at providing some fun. What we did last year seemed pretty cool so I thought I'd go with that again. I'd like to have a showing of all the projects we've worked on this year - not just what we did as PIFMG - but also what our PIFMG members have been doing on their own or with their individual companies. So if you want to have your film screened - please let me know as soon as you can. I think this just might become a tradition! :) As always - this is the time to come in and ask for help on your projects, tell us about your successes and connect with your fellow film makers for ideas and insight. Please make sure to RSVP on the meetup site. I can't wait to see you all there! :)Tammy
