Potluck Meet and Greeting starts at 6:00 pm.

Potluck Eating begins at 6:30pm!

Don't tempt fate by showing up late...the good stuff may have already been ate! :) Don't worry, this has never happened (there's always plenty of food!), but it does allow time to get all the food laid out, drinks served, and get to know each other!

RSVP and let us know how many people will be coming with you. The more the merrier!

Traditional Paleo/Primal Potluck: Bring enough of each dish to serve 8 to 10 people (As host, I stray from this rule slightly and always prepare a delicious grass-fed beef entree large enough for all attendees to enjoy, but no need to place that burden on yourselves). Always use safe food handling practices!

After you RSVP, please let us know which category of food you plan to bring in the comments section. This will help prevent overlap and can facilitate coordination of dishes, making for a well-balanced meal. You may bring more than one dish if you like! If you need suggestions to fit your cooking skills, budget, or time constraints, please contact Chef Rachel for ideas. This can be done through the comments section, or by email through meetup.com.

Food Categories

* Fish, poultry, or meat * Egg dish * Soup

* Green salad * Sea vegetable dish * Fruit

* Cooked vegetable * Dessert * Other

On an index card, please write the name of each recipe and all of the ingredients so that people with food allergies or intolerances will know if they can eat the dish without problems. If you like, bring copies of your recipe to share: We always love learning how to make your delicious dishes!

Eco-Friendly Potluckers: feel free to bring your own containers to take home whatever leftovers are available!

I had a great time at the potluck last night. Thank you so much to Danen for hosting this and to everyone else for being great company and bringing such great food. I know you guys wrote the recipes on cards, but if you don't mind sharing them in the groups files section too that would be nice.

Since I am new to paleo if I could please request that everyone brings the recipes for what they are making on a piece of paper (preferably printed paper in larger print since I'm visually impaired). Also any additional paleo recipe favorites that you have I would really appreciate. I'm trying to make a successful change to paleo and so far I'm finding it harder than I would've hoped. Thank you everyone.

Is anyone coming from the East Valley that would be willing to carpool? I would really like to go to this meetup as I'm just starting the paleo diet and could use some support and recipes, unfortunately I'm visually impaired so I can't drive. I would of course give anyone I carpool with gas money. Please let me know asap, thanks!

Hey, Rob! If no one else can pick you up on their way over, then I can pick you up. It'd have to be early, though, like 4pm or so, that way I have time to finish prep and be present for early arrivals. We definitely want you to be able to come...the potlucks are fun!

That would be great Danen, thank you. I've reached out to some of the people who said they are going from my area, however I haven't heard back from them yet. I'll let you know what happens.

I am changing my dish from a salad to a chicken dish - it's a slow cooker dish with a moroccan-ish spice thing. I made it this summer with pork and want to try it with chicken....

Hi, I'm a 25 yr old just starting the paleo life. Could use some help. First off I'm looking for someone to carpool with to the event as I'm visually impaired and not able to drive myself. I live in Tempe, by Broadway and McClintock and am willing to help out with gas. Please email me right away as I'm brand new to this group and don't know anyone here to carpool with, thanks!

Second off, anyone have a suggestion for what I can make / bring? I JUST started the paleo lifestyle and am clueless what I should bring. LOL... a link to the recipe you are suggesting would be greatly appreciated. Once again thanks!

I will probably bring My Favorite Macaroons, paleo, primal, low sugar, gluten free, grain free, dairy free, naturally sweetened. I have all of the ingredients on hand already. MMMM ;-)
