The Daily Ukulele

We will be practicing for the 10/19 Sam Ash performance.  Download and print the songs in the file section "Sam Ash Set List.pdf "

New Music with the "Daily Ukulele"

The purpose is to spend the entire time practicing and learning just two or four new songs from the Daily Ukulele.  If time permits we will play songs from previous weeks.

Jim and Liz Beloff have come out with a book - The Daily Ukulele: 365 Songs For Better Living .

We will be using this book for this meetup. Compiled and Arranged by Liz and Jim Beloff, The Daily Ukulele features 365 well-known songs with easy ukulele arrangements in a easy to read 9X12 format.

The Daily Ukulele offers ukulele fun all year long! 336 pages.

Jim and Liz Beloff have come out with a new book - The Daily Ukulele Leap Year Edition: 366 Songs .

Attendees are encouraged to obtain a copy of this book as soon as possible.  We will begin using this book as part of this meetup as a majority of people obtain it. Compiled and Arranged by Liz and Jim Beloff, The Daily Ukulele Leap Year Edition features 366 additional well-known songs with easy ukulele arrangements in a easy to read 9X12 format.

Note: A purchased or shared copy of BOTH the books is strongly recommended for this event.  Sam Ash has agreed to offer the first book for $23.00 plus tax to our group members.  You will need to ask for the discount at the register.  The new Leap year book is available from Amazon.com for the same price.  We are hoping Sam Ash will stock it soon.

Copyright laws clearly prohibit the photocopying of current publications.

Plus, Jim and Liz did a lot of work on this volume, and deserve to have some money coming back to pay for crumpets and Mai Tais

Song List TBA

You can find all of these songs on You Tube if you are not familiar with them

Note to baritone players: Like most ukulele books, the chord shapes in this book are for standard ukulele GCEA tuning.  If you need help converting the shapes for the baritone John or one of the other experienced baritone players can help you.

For a first time, very nice to hang with eager uke players. Played new songs and learned a few new chords. Enjoyed John's licks. Liked Tom's bass accompaniament to keep us together. Will be back permanently in Phoenix in early Nov and should attend all the time. Thank you.
