Yes, now I have 5 ukuleles. I first picked up a Lanikai CKC concert ukulele in Hawaii as a useable souvenir and got hooked!! Then I got a soprano Cordoba ukulele for traveling on the airlines. A Epiphone Les Paul concert uke caught my eye. Then I needed a tenor ukulele and after visiting Acoustic Vibes in Tempe I brought home a 6 string Kanilea tenor which sounds fantastic! But then Laura got a Lanikai banjo ukulele that certainly sounded neat. I began visiting EBay regularly and found a Maybell Slingerland banjo ukulele from the 30s that was in perfect shape. She now has a new home with me! Then I bought an Art & Lutherie parlor guitar as souvenir from Flagstaff--now I have to learn all new chords plus find a place to put it!!!
I have been playing with the group since August last year (2010). I bought the Lanikai in Honolulu with full intention of having a souvenir that I could use!!! Now I am hooked:)
My string menagerie has grown : a Lanikai concert, Woody; Jessie, a Cordoba soprano; third, an Epiphone concert, Elvis ; fourth is a Kanilea KT-6 tenor, Lola-Then Maizie,a Maybell Slingerland banjolele and CA made parlor guitar, Jacques.
Thanks to our members who worked very hard--it showed! Merry Christmas! We will still be there next Tues so join us.
