Balanced By Nature Nutrition Consulting for Dogs & Cats!

Balanced Bt Nature: Heather Macfarlane, Pet Nutritionist

Every 1st Fridays of every month.

"Helping your pet achieve optimum health and happiness through proper nutrition" Nutrition Consulting for Dogs & Cats at Hip Hound by appointment only, as well as house call consultations. She specializes in transitioning dogs and cats onto raw food diets or healthy alternatives. Heather has over 15 years experience working in holistic & conventional veterinary clinics as a veterinary technician, herbal pharmacist, and nutrition consultant. Her nutrition philosophy is one that looks at the whole animal. She "brings them back to nature" as much as possible. This includes not only diet and supplements, but also awareness of lifestyle, knowledge of disease prevention, and the use of holistic therapies. She works closely with many Portland veterinarians, animal chiropractors, acupuncturists, and herbalists, to form a healing team that addresses the individual needs of dogs & cats. Heather's motivation to continue learning about complimentary veterinary therapies has expanded her knowledge of the animal body as a whole. "There are a lot of opposing views out there for what you should feed your dog and cat. I will help guide you in choosing an appropriate diet for your furry family member and the results can vary from increased energy and a beautiful shiny coat, to vibrant health and vitality. A fresh, wholesome, species-appropriate diet will result in a powerful immune system, giving your pet the ability to kick most chronic diseases and symptoms to the curb, allowing them to enjoy life to it's fullest with you!"
