Thru Hike Tale: The Continental Divide Trail - 3rd Thursday Potluck & Presi

Our regular Third Thursday program this month will feature a presentation from Erin Saver and her Continental Divide Odessy

The 3,100mi Continental Divide Trail is considered one of the most rugged and remote long distance trails in the world. It is the least known and traveled of America's three longest trails (including the Pacific Crest Trail and Appalachian Trail) which comprise hiking's "Triple Crown." Solo backpacker, Erin "Wired" Saver (PCT 2011) will be speaking about her 134 day thru hike along the CDT which took her from Mexico to Canada along the spine of North America this past summer. Erin's presentation includes anecdotes, pictures, and videos from her hike. For a sneak peek, check out her highly followed blog at where she kept a daily detailed journal of her hike.

Potluck at 6:30 PM, program at 7 PM.

If you come to the potluck, Please bring something to share, eating utensils, and good humor for this packed adventure.

RSVP and arrive early, as this presentation fills quickly.

Laura and I thoroughly enjoyed hearing "Wired's" story. When I lived in Nashville, I attended a similar meetup where a fellow related his adventures in thru-hiking the AT. I look forward to following Erin's blog as she finishes up her first Triple Crown - the PCT, CDT, and AT!

Great presentation. Plenty of seats and food. Able to park close by but came a little early.

Oh dang. Woke up feeling awful about an hour ago. I'm going to stay home, get well, and not infect anyone else. Sorry to cancel.

Would love to hear your story...I'm sure its inspirational, maybe I'll catch it another time. I've decided to go on a hike and may not get back in time, so I thought it best to cancel my RSVP. See you sometime soon another time.
