Hello All and Happy 2011!
Thanks for checking out this group. I'm really excited and looking forward to see what this year brings. After having read Eckhart Tolle's ~ The Power of Now, I was truly inspired. The book not only changed my way of thinking, it has changed how I live my life. If you've read this book, hopefully it did the same for you too.
Have you ever found yourself thinking of a million things to do, racing against time trying to get everything done?
Have you caught yourself obsessively thinking about what happened yesterday, a week, month and yes even years ago?
Do you worry about tomorrow, when tomorrow hasn't even arrived?
The past has gone, it's history
The future hasn't happened, it's a mystery
Today is a gift. That's why we call it the Present
I have learned that living in the moment required learning how to slow down and focus on the "NOW".
Eckhart Tolle talks about how thinking has become a disease. This "Thinking Disease" has held a lot of us captive and been the cause of undue fear and suffering.
I decided to organize this group for those, who like me want to:
v Start Living
v Seek more out of life
v Absolve FEARS ~ (False Expectations Appearing Real)
v Experience more LOVE, PEACE, SPIRTUALITY and HAPPINESS
v Take chances
I see this group meeting once a month, sharing ideas, learning from each other, seeing what has worked/doesn't work and together exploring and practising Eckhart Tolle's spiritual guide to enlightenment and really start LIVING.
We've all heard of the saying "laughter is the best medicine", so let's take this opportunity to laugh, learn and really start living as we support each other through this amazing transformation.
We have the power to create whatever we want as long as we don't allow our minds to hold us captive to unnecessary, mindless clutter.
Together 'let's clear the clutter'.
I am looking forward to seeing what becomes of this group. Please join me in my journey in meeting like minded people and making great friendships with people who want to start "LIVING TODAY".
