This group was inspired by Susan Cain's book "Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking".

We aim to encourage people who know that quiet times can be fun to claim their place in an extroverted world and make new friends in the settings and at the pace that they are comfortable with. Do you treat your life's precious moments with reflection and quiet enjoyment instead of haste? Do you like walking through leafy streets or by the lake early in the morning or at sunset, sipping coffee while reading at a bookstore, breaking bread with close friends? Can you enjoy conversation, music as well as silence? Do you recharge by creating pockets of alone time in your busy life? Have you considered that you can also do that in the company of like minded people? If so, come and join us.

Our goal is to create a non-threatening milieu for people with introverted traits to exchange resources, experiences and ideas that will help us understand how characteristics we are born with, environment and free will shape who we are and what we become and realize our power to create meaningful connections and solid accomplishments within a world that seems to often favor loud, big personalities and consider the introspective and thoughtful as somewhat defective.

In the process of our "Meet and Chats", some special friendships may develop. That would be such a wonderful outcome and we will know that we used the Internet as a discreet tool to bring us together at a pace that we feel comfortable with.
