We're very excited to announce the January selection of our Public TransLit Commuter Book Club! For this coming month, we'll be reading "Eat the City" by Robin Shulman. This book tells the tale of the 'fishers, trappers, hunters, foragers, slaughters, butchers, farmers, poultry minders, sugar refiners, cane cutters, beekeepers, winemakers and brewers who built New York.'
And, of course, Robin has gracefully agreed to come and speak to the group about her book. She'll explain how New York City is really a lot more than just an apple.
Also, don't forget, there will be drinks!
RSVP by snagging a copy of Robin's book through Togather. Your purchase not only acts as your admission, but also entitles you to a free drink at the event!!!
Has anyone else ordered their book yet? I got mine just before the new year and am devouring it! What's everyone else think of the book so far?

I'm really looking forward to this one! I've been wanting to read Robin's book for a while -- what better reason to finally commit?
