Thrift is best done as a group, bulk buying being just one example; that's why I started a meetup group for Moneysavers in the Quiet Corner.

Finding ways to enjoy life without spending money, ways to cut back, ways to barter with your neighbor, ways to make money on the side -- can actually be a lot of fun.

About your Meetup Organizer: My name is Rob. I am married with one child, 39 years old. I like to grow my own food and play music on my own fiddle. I found that my frugal lifestyle keeps me busy, but in an enjoyable, even a fun way.

We will work together to help each other cut back, I can help you put in a vegetable garden if you have land, we can go on a tour of thrift stores in the area, and we can finally have an (inexpensive) barbeque at Hopewell Pond State Park and talk about how we are dealing with the difficult economic times. Maybe do some fishing too (another inexpensive recreation). So get in touch!
