PowerShell, Windows scripting language, is a critical tool to have in your development arsenal. This object orientated language lets you access any part of the Windows architecture and can help solve many challenges. Bryan has employed PowerShell scripts to copy, decrypt, unzip, merge and move files to be loaded into SQL Server. Among other things, PowerShell integrates with SharePoint, SQL Server, Exchange Server, Active Directory and the file system. In this presentation, Bryan will start with a general overview and present a number of useful scripts to highlight how PowerShell can be used in BI and Data Warehouse development.
Note: We are trying something new here by holding a presentation online in the hopes that it may prove useful to members It is not meant to replace the physical meetings.
