LaTrese, thank you so much for RSVP'ing for this event - we are going to have a wonderfully rich, and tremendous time reading anf studying the Word...The topic is the Holy Spirit and how His role plays into our daily lives. The Holy Spirit is very personable and gentle and He leads us, reminds us, and gives us understanding of God's truth, which is the Word of God...

    Post 3 of 3:
We know that prior to Jesus' departure from the earth, and His crucifixion, Jesus encouraged his disciples by saying in John 14:16-17 -
"I will ask the Father, and He will give you ANOTHER HELPER that He may be with you forever; that is the SPIRIT of TRUTH, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you."

This scripture above is amazing b/c it reveals that God will NEVER leave us or forsake us, and although we cannot see Jesus w/ our own two eyes, we are still comforted by the knowledge that the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of God, has been sent to abide w/ us until the very end of our lives....

Anyhu, stay tuned....I will see you all on Saturday and feel free to bring a friend or two....

    Post 2 of 3 (cont'd)

We know that the Holy Spirit existed before the beginning of time and before the earth was even populated w/ mankind, plant and animal life: Genesis 1:2 - "And the earth was without form and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the SPIRIT of GOD moved upon the face of the waters."

Hi all, Happy Monday to you!!

I hope that all is well w/ each of you and that you have had a wonderfully stupendous weekend and Thanksgiving....

For this next Bible Study Session, unless the Holy Spirit leads us into a different direction, we will learn more about the Holy Spirit and His role as it related to "Who God Is." We have already discovered that according to the Word of God, there is only ONE God (Isaiah 46:9), but He has many different attributes that exemplify who He is and they are revealed through: 1.) God-The Father,
    2.) God-The Son (Jesus), and
    3.) God-The Holy Spirit....

So, who is The Holy Spirit? What is His role? Is He real? Is He an "it" or a "He" or is He really God? The world, as well as Christians, ask ourselves these questions everyday and that's only because the Holy Spirit is misunderstood and people fail to just simply read about the Holy Spirit in the Bible...

    CONTINUED ON THE NEXT POST....
