I studied German for four years in high school and then studied at the Goethe Institut in Prien, Germany. I lived in Germany for a few months and in Austria for two years. When I lived there, I was fairly fluent and could communicate pretty easily, but in the past few years, I haven't practiced it at all, and I can tell that I've forgotten a lot of vocabulary!
Yes... I've been to Germany several times and studied and lived there for a few months... I also lived in Austria and had to get used to the different dialects there...
Anything that involves practicing German and doesn't cost a lot of money!
I've lived in Richmond for a long time and am just looking for some ways to meet people and to practice my German. My grandmother was from Germany and lived in a little village near the border of Poland and Czech Republic.
Hey! Did you see the post that some people are going to climb on Tuesday at 6:30pm...would you want to go?
No just you, but if you know anyone who'd want to come definately invite them. See you tonight.
Would 6pm work well for you?
How about tomorrow? (Friday 5/18)?
Hey Jill! Would you like to go climbing sometime next week?
Hi Jill! I joined Meetup.com. Thank you so much for the information last night....I'm so excited to get out there and meet some new people. It was really nice meeting you last night. Hope you have fun at Peak on Friday...maybe I'll see you there soon.
Hey! It was great meeting you tonight and i'll see you Friday.
Hey Jill! Did you survive the orienteering? I ran for a whole hour and I'm beat! What fun! Oh, I see you do the German meetups too. Maybe I'll do that as well. Good to meet you.
Hi Jill, welcome to TRCS! Be sure to check out our calendar for some great upcoming events, especially our January Meet & Greet Dinner. Please feel free to contact any of our leadership team with questions or concerns. Happy New Year!
Glad you're joining. Diversity is key to an interesting group. Right now, we have some vertical people, usually have a few horizontal people, and a couple of leaners. I think you're the first perpendicular. Seriously, welcome to the group.
