David Woods started brewing back in 1999 from a Mr. Beer kit. Within a year he had moved to regular ingredients and within two years he moved up to 5 gallon brewing and specialty grains. The next progression was to all grain brewing along with mead and hard cider experimentation. By 2005, Dave began to win brewing competitions and saw his friend's brewery, The Defiant in Pearl River, built from the ground up. David can now brew 10 gallon batches. He will demo his 5 gallon equipment and start with the easiest way of homebrewing - using extract. All attendees will enjoy samples from a variety of home-brewed recipes. In-person registration is required prior to the program at the library at 93 Main Street and a small, $10 fee is required at registration to cover the tasting.
A great evening out with friends and a must for those who have been thinking about home-brewing and new and experienced home-brewers alike.
