Oakdale Cheese factory http://www.oakdaleche... 10040 State Highway 120 in Oakdale Get your real Gouda here. Also has Dutch souvenirs, hagelslag, ontbijtkoek, some Indonesian/Dutch food. Great place for a picnic. Also sells Tosti's (grilled cheese sandwiches).
Uitzendinggemist.nl http://www.uitzending... Dutch Public Television (Nederland 1,2,3) These programs are generally paid for by the Dutch tax payers and have limited commercial interruptions. It's a broad mix of news, news-analysis, talk shows and entertainment.
I would say that the above mentioned "Gemist" channels cover about 90% of the Dutch TV and I would be hesitant to spend money on a Dutch TV Dish (correct me if I'm wrong). However, info about that option will follow here soon.
Welcome to the Sacramento meetup for Dutchies, those sympathetic to the Dutch, and all fans of the color orange.
This meetup group opened on December 8th 2008, and has been running strong ever since. Plans for the future include casual meetups, cultural events and to have Dutch language meet-ups for anyone who wants to improve language skills, celebrate queens day and Sinterklaas or just exchange bitterbal and frikadel recipes.
