Join us for the next meeting of St. Louis Ecovillage Network at the newly forming Dogtown Ecovillage. (Check us out on facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/StLouisEcovillageNetwork.) We'll have a potluck brunch followed by a walking tour of the neighborhood, stopping by the homes of current members, checking out the EcoHome Dan & Michelle are building, and touring potential properties (rentals, too!). This is a monthly meeting of folks interested in building intentional communities/ecovillages in St. Louis.

So here's the deal, folks - looks like about 60+ RSVPs with Meetup and Facebook, so we will start out at Dan & Michelle's place on Lloyd as planned, leave any food there, and head out for tours in successive waves. We'll all end up at a restaurant close by called La Gra at 1227 Tamm Avenue at noon and all eat our potluck and chat. We have the place until 1 or so. Please join us wherever you can - we'll also have maps for a self-guided tour if you miss one of the official tours.

Dan & Michelle ask that folks bring their own cup/spork/bowl to accommodate the crowds sustainably. And they also offer this helpful suggestion for what to bring: A-F bring starch, G-O fruit or vegetable, P-V protein and W-Z dessert. Don't know where White Castle would fit into those categories. :)

Yeah, I guess we didn't quite expect this level of response. Upcoming venues for the Ecovillage Network will have to be bigger!

Wow, what an amazing response! This just shows the amount of interest built up on these topics... It will be a small house, and right now RSVPs on facebook and this site total about 40, so just bear that in mind. Please do bring a dish - something you love to cook for brunch/lunch. It will be fun and social and we'll all be rubbing elbows and taking a walking tour, but it may be hard to run a real meeting. So think of it as a way to meet like-minded folks and maybe spark an ecovillage project of your own. Fingers crossed for good weather!

Hi Michelle and Dan. Thank you for opening your home to us for brunch. Really looking forward.

Ray - I don't think Dan & Michelle are actually on meetup, so they probably won't answer directly, but I suspect the answer is yes. Let's discuss it at the brunch.

We plan to leave for the walking tour around 1 or 1:30pm, to answer questions about timing. Just look for a big group walking on nearby blocks if you're late!

Hey Dan & Michelle, Do you have interest in developing that vacant property on your map for growing your own food???
