What are you looking for in a Buddhist Fellowship

Sitting Meditation, Walking Meditation, Beautifully kept settings, Dharma Talks, Dharma Shares/Deep Listening Practice, Mindful Eating Practice,

What is your background with Buddhism

I started to pursue meditation and buddhism in 2009. I became quite involved with the Sitting Club at my university until I graduated in 2011, going on many retreats to nearby monasteries, including Blue Cliff in New York. In 2012, I discovered near my hometown of Richmond, NH a new mindfulness based residential community named Morning Sun, which was started by Michael and Fern Ciborsky, both monks in the early days of Plum Village. I attended weekly days of mindfulness for about a year and a half and became quite enthralled with the teachings, the practice, and the quality of connection I felt with the people I saw on a weekly basis.

I come from New Hampshire and I am waylaid here in Salt Lake City until I can get my car fixed. After that, I will be heading over to Deer Park Monastery to practice looking and living deeply.
