New Year Despacho Ceremony

  • January 2 · 7:00 PM
  • Dee Ann Nichols

Come join us for a New Years Celebration in the tradition of the Medicine Men and  Women of Peru!

Date: Thursday, January 2nd

Time: 7:00 PM

Place: 1882 E. 3355 S. Salt Lake City, UT 84106

Cost: $25.00 per person, cash/check

Treats for sharing are always welcome. (No alcohol please.)

Our evening will start at 7:00 PM. We will be engaging in an Ayni Despacho ceremony in the manner of the Earthkeepers of the High Andes. An Ayni Despacho is a prayer bundle created by all participants in ceremony in order to bring themselves and the earth into right relation. This Despacho will be particularly important for setting intent and dreaming the world into being as the earth mother faces the great challenges of our time.

There will be NO fire Thursday night. The despacho will be burned at a later date.

Join us with rattles, drums and your prayers and blessings in celebration of Mother Earth and Father Sun as we come together in ceremony for the good of all our relations! Although these are sacred ceremonies they are not connected with any organized religion. We work through the lineage of the medicine people of Peru and connect directly with spirit through personal experience. Any faith or belief system that you may have is welcome as long as you come with an open mind and are respectful of others.

Please do not come in an impaired state. Anyone arriving drunk or high will be asked to leave.

Dee Ann Nichols is a graduate of The Four Winds Society.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
