I love discussing issues and hearing the ideas of others. Whichever side one is on, there are always points that can be made for the opposing side. The advocacy approach to debate, just like that of our court system, is meant to bring ideas or facts out of the darkness and into the light. Plus, I love a lively discussion in a non-debate situation. I'm not afraid to jump into some banter (if allowed or wanted) to keep my mind sharp and absorbent. Sometimes I speak too much, so I'm learning how to limit myself when confronting situations.
I'm an NYC transplant who enjoys the art of hearing both sides of an issue before making a final decision. As a collegiate debater I enjoyed defending or proposing ideas. It happens in business in a slightly different way, but it's very similar.
