Meet with other San Diego area professional Medical Anthropologists to learn from one another and discuss new studies.
This is basically a journal club where we share studies or topics of interest. Medical anthropology is broad enough that we all have a variety of interests, and this could be a great resource to whet our appetite for new topics without overwhelming ourselves with a deluge of info!
Resources could include medical anthropology journals, websites, blogs, listservs, applied research, and more. It doesn't necessarily have to be scholarly, but at the very least, be well informed.
Academics, practitioners, and students of medical anthropology welcome!
