Volunteer at the World Savvy Gala Fundraiser

The World Savvy nonprofit educates and engages youth in community and world affairs. We served as judges in their annual junior high and high school competition, the World Savvy Challenge. Now we'd like to help out in their annual fundraiser, the World Savvy Gala.

Dogpatch WineWorks is a new urban winery located in the historic Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco. The evening will feature cuisine from around the world, a hosted beer and wine bar, exclusive live and silent auction items, interactive media stations created by World Savvy students, and live entertainment.

Tasks include check-in, auction runners, set-up, tear down, greeters, and raffle ticket sales. We'll have a brief volunteer training at 5:45 to make sure everyone is comfortable with his or her assignment. And yes, we are welcome to join in the festivities, including the food and wine!

Meet me at the front door prior to heading to the check-in table. I'll send out my phone number to those who RSVP for the event. We may be doing different tasks, so we'll regroup at the end to reminisce some of the finer moments of the evening and disband.

Definitely try to make this event. It's a great opportunity to meet and chat with participating students, educators, and donors.

Thanks to everyone for enthusiastically lending a hand! It was a great crowd and I think that we all got to chat a bit with some of the students, educators and contributors of the cause! Nice to share the experience with all of you.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
