We're having an orientation and Q&A session in the Mission this Saturday. If you're interested in joining the project leader team, come join us for some drinks and bacon lace cookies.
One of the goals we had for this year was to hold more events and we succeeded: we've tripled our event frequency and now we're averaging three a week. But with 1800 volunteers, grabbing a spot is really hard. We're completely booked for three weeks and the trend is getting worse. We need more events, and to do that, we need more Project Leaders.
The Project Leader team is a group of volunteers who run our day to day operations. This includes hosting events, finding new events, growing the group, and solving problems. I'm asking for a commitment of six months where you'd host one event every month. It can be an existing event or something new like Habitat for Humanity, St. Anthony's, or Friends of the Urban Forest.
So if you've gotten value from this group, met interesting people, attended interesting events, and you want to get more involved, consider joining this program.
