Decorate St. Anthony's Dining Room for the Holidays - 8 Volunteers

Help prepare for the holidays by decorating St. Anthony's dining room!

• Event Schedule:
10:30am: After a brief orientation, the group will help prepare the Dining Room for the holidays. We will serve 4,000 meals and want to create a festive and welcoming environment. Volunteers will help craft garlands and other items. No special skills needed.
1:00pm: The group departs.

• Requirements:
Volunteers should wear comfortable clothes and shoes. Water and restrooms are available. There is limited space to store valuables, we recommend that you bring only what you will need for the day.

Part of the package you are receiving today includes our Volunteer Release of Liability form. Each participant is requested to sign a copy. These forms will be collected upon your arrival at St. Anthony Foundation. I will be emailing the forms before the event as well as provide copies at the event for those who need them.

• Transportation:
In arranging your visit, we urge you to consider arriving by public transportation, if possible. Both BART and MUNI trains stop at the Civic Center Station – a convenient two-block walk from our facility. MUNI Busses 5 (Fulton/McAllister), 31 (Turk), and 21 Hayes, and all of the Market Street busses and trolleys, let passengers off within a block of St. Anthony’s. Reasonably priced pay-for-parking is also available at the corner of Golden Gate and Jones Street.

• About St. Anthony's Foundation:
St. Anthony’s is a civic anchor in San Francisco, providing stability to low-income residents of the city and inspiring hope through hot meals, warm clothes, medical care, personal guidance, job search assistance, and poverty education.

Hi All, I'm at the entrance until 10:30. If you're late, just tell them you're with the Giving Tree and they'll show you directions to the dining hall. See you all soon!

Are paking meters enforced on Sunday on golden gate ave?

    November 23, 2013

    • Denise

I haven't checked the meters myself, but I'm sure it follows the rest of SF, with meters enforceable on Sundays from 12-6pm with 2-hour limits. Best bets would be Muni or BART. I will be taking Muni myself.
